Integrated Pest Management

Insects are an important part of our environment. Many trees, shrubs, flowers, and garden plants depend on insects for pollination purposes. Before treating for insects within the landscape, several items of interest must be considered. Is the insect beneficial? What are the risks of treating the insect? Will other insects be harmed while treating for the undesired insect? Is the insect being harmful to any plants or turf within the landscape? Is the insect a threat to the existence of the human population with the environment that they are present? That is why we practice IPM or Integrated Pest Management.
